The National Committee of each member country has primary responsibility for WPC activities in that country and, as in Canada, is supported by a sponsoring organization.

The officers of the Canadian Association for the 20th Congress cycle are:

The Canadian Association for the WPC (CAWPC) sponsors the Canadian National Committee for the WPC. The CAWPC includes 60 sponsoring and associate members and normally meets annually. It proposes Canadians to serve as session officers and authors of papers for each Congress and publicizes the Congresses in Canada.

The officers of the Canadian Association and the Canadian representatives on WPC International Committees plus up to two additional Canadian Association representatives which the officers may appoint, comprise the Canadian National Committee (CNC). The Past Chairman of the Canadian Association is usually one of the two appointees. The CNC is responsible for liaison on behalf of the Canadian Association on international matters.
