Responsible for the Global Energy Sector strategy and development of business solutions at Hitachi Vantara, David joined Hitachi Vantara in October 2017 from the Oil & Gas industry.

In a career that spans 30+ years that started in engineering, David’s career includes executive roles in business startups to global corporations where David successfully developed experience in Operations, Business Development, Management Consulting, Finance, Marketing and Process Optimization. As an entrepreneur, David co-founded 6 companies in which two companies had operations in the US & Canada, one focused on Automation, Engineering & Flow Measurement the other a software and engineering company focused in Well Life Cycle Optimization. As a thought leader in the pursuit of a Digital Oilfield where technology addresses the need for “Continuous Improvement” in the Energy Sector, David engages with the global energy community as an active member of the Executive Oilmen’s Association.

David, is a CTO focused on creating the “value bridge” between the IT and OT narrative to clearly define and develop an engagement model that focuses on business outcomes. David resides in Calgary, Alberta Canada with his wife and four children.
