Paul Paynter is the Business Development Director at GERI (General Energy Recovery Inc.). Previously, Paul held key external-facing roles at the Saskatchewan Research Council – where he founded the Saskatchewan Crown Corporation office in Calgary, KPMG Canada, Calgary Economic Development (pioneering Calgary trade missions to China, Colombia and Australia), the British Trade Office – Calgary, Bell Mobility and Vodafone UK. Other Voluntary Board roles held by Paul have included Global Chamber (Chair of the Calgary Chapter), Alberta Clean Technology Industry Alliance (ACTia), the British and Commonwealth Business Association of Canada and the Calgary Council for Advancing Technology.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford (UK) and the UK’s Institute of Marketing’s Advanced Certificate in Marketing Management Practice. Paul is also a graduate of numerous other business and management programs delivered by Accenture, The University of Calgary’s School of Public Policy and the Institute of Corporate Directors.
